Gresham Palace

Saturday April 27

Directly across from the Chain Bridge on the Pest side, Gresham Palace was built in 1907 in the Secession or Art Nouveau style. Heavily damaged during the wars and rebuilt, it reopened in 2004 as a Four Seasons hotel restored to it's former glory. After our day of walking, Esther, Tom and I slipped in here to relax for a moment and admire the wrought-iron gates at the front and side entrances, the stained glass, furniture, light fixtures, tile work..........
