Szentendre

Szentendre is a small town, north of Budapest along the Danube, full of artisans. Amidst the tourist shops there were some truly interesting craftsmen and salesmen. The patterns on these hand painted eggs are based on fabric patterns they create with intricately nailed boards. Esther also introduced us to a traditional Hungarian food - Langosok (pronounced longo) - a fried dough with sour cream and cheese. It was tasty!
