With Tom a little under the weather from a cold and rain forecasted for the afternoon, we decided to take the train to Riomaggiore and explore another Cinque Terre town. Similar to Manarola, Riomaggiore is built on both sides of the river which has been paved over. The small rocky harbor area gave us some interesting photo opportunities and there were not so many tourists. The pedestrian tunnel to the train station was lined with mosaics celebrating the ruggedness and beauty of the Cinque Terre and it people.
